INTEL-TAU: A Color Constancy Dataset

نویسندگان

چکیده

In this paper, we describe a new large dataset for illumination estimation. This dataset, called INTEL-TAU, contains 7022 images in total, which makes it the largest available high-resolution estimation research. The variety of scenes captured using three different camera models, namely Canon 5DSR, Nikon D810, and Sony IMX135, appropriate evaluating scene invariance techniques. Privacy masking is done sensitive information, e.g., faces. Thus, coherent with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Furthermore, effect color shading mobile can be evaluated INTEL-TAU as both corrected uncorrected versions raw data are provided. paper benchmarks several constancy approaches on proposed dataset.

Color Constancy Algorithms: Psychophysical Evaluation on a New Dataset

The estimation of the illuminant of a scene from a digital image has been the goal of a large amount of research in computer vision. Color constancy algorithms have dealt with this problem by defining different heuristics to select a unique solution from within the feasible set. The performance of these algorithms has shown that there is still a long way to go to globally solve this problem as ...

Color constancy

A quarter of a century ago, the first systematic behavioral experiments were performed to clarify the nature of color constancy-the effect whereby the perceived color of a surface remains constant despite changes in the spectrum of the illumination. At about the same time, new models of color constancy appeared, along with physiological data on cortical mechanisms and photographic colorimetric ...

Supervised color constancy using a color chart

One of the key problems in machine vision is color constancy: the ability to match object colors in images taken under different colors of illumination. This is a difficult problem because the apparent color will depend upon the spectral reflectance function of the object and the spectral distribution function of the incident light, both of which are generally unknown. Methods to solve this pro...

Color memory and color constancy.

Color constancy is the perceived stability of the color of objects despite changes in the light illuminating them. An object's color is considered constant if the current perceived color is judged to be in accord with the remembered one. Thus the accuracy and precision of color memory are fundamental to understanding this classic problem. Two hypotheses of color memory are tested here: (1) the ...

Quantifying Human Color Constancy

The visual system generates object color on the basis of spectral information mediated by reflected light. Although the color of this light, and hence, surface color, varies with the color and intensity of the ambient illumination, the visual system is capable of maintaining a fair degree of color fidelity, a phenomenon known as color constancy. Color constancy was already discussed by Helmholt...
